:( This is why I'm scared of Xbox's and why I have a PS3. Well, there's the blu-ray thing too, but still. Sorry man. :(

      Damn. This is why I'd probably pick a PS3 over a 360.

You know, people always say that (and yes, the rate of failure on 360s is way too high), but it's not like every 360 RRODs. I've had mine for nearly three years and it's never failed at all. Sean, did you try unplugging everything, letting it sit for a minute, and then plugging everything back in and turning it on again?

ugh, out of warranty too. This is what I get for buying refurbished. Guess who's going to Best Buy right now? :(

yup. It had acted funny earlier in the week too, I was afraid this was going to happen.

No warranty left? Take it apart and make it work again

Our old Xbox got the red ring twice. Fortunately we were under warranty both times.

Got a new one, the Xbox 360 Arcade since the price dropped to $200 and now I have a warranty. It also has HDMI inputs which my old one didn't. Let's hope this one lasts longer than 6 months.

I've had three die on me. Seriously not impressed with their ability to build hardware.

Exactly why I got a PS3 instead - I'm not into gambling with my money. (ofc, now I've said that my ps3 will die or something)

I've seen 4 of those in my lifetime.
