Thanksgiving YUM
This year was the very first time I made my own Thanksgiving dinner. With Candy’s help we cooked the above display:
- 4lb Turkey Breast
- Fruit Salad (or Ambrosia) with Oranges, Apples, Bananas, Pineapple, Marichino Cherries, and lots of Marshmellows
- Green Bean Casserole
- Mashed Pototoes
- Sweet Potatoes covered in marshmellows (Boiled sweet potatoes then mixed with milk, cinnamon, a splash of vanilla, and brown sugar
- Stove Top Cornbread Stuffing
- Canned Cranberry Sauce – Yes I know the real deal is better, but not for me. I’ve had this tube shaped fruit substance since I was a boy and always will.
For a first time Thanksgiving cook, it turned out pretty great. I went back for seconds and thought strongly about a third plate before my stomach caught up with my eyes.
