Iron Man: First Look
Thanks to IGN and Jon Favreau we finally have a first peek at what the IRON MAN suit will look like from the movie currently filming.
“But wait! Iron Man was gold and red! This looks DUMB.” You say, but here’s what’s up with the clunky gray suit: It’s the first version. Not as in “movie version”, as in “suit version.” For those who aren’t geeky enough, here’s the story:
In the comics version (and possibly the movie), Tony Stark (being played by Robert Downey, Jr.) is held captive in a Vietnamese camp and forced to use his tech skills to design them a weapon. What he creates is a rudimentary armor that he uses to escape, which is the suit depicted above. After he gets back home he begins to make improvements to the armor, which will be the red-and-gold version we’re all (or some of us) familiar with.
I’m excited!
