Tina Fey Is A Baby Mama

Tina Fey, known for her recent sitcom 30 Rock and previous work on Saturday Night Live as host of Weekend Update as well as head writer for the show, has been cast in a new film by new director Michael McCullers titled Baby Mama.
The film, also written by McCullers (Austin Powers: The Spy Who Shagged Me, Goldmember), will start Fey and fellow SNL cast member (and Upright Citizens Brigade founder) Amy Poehler. The story centers on Tina Fey’s character, a successful executive at a big-name grocery story chain, who wants to have a child but doesn’t want to put her career on hold to do it. Enter Poehler, who becomes a surrogate mother to Fey’s character.
No other names have been cast at this time, but you can expect to see some other SNL cast members, as well as a few alumni from the show. Tina Fey’s last film was the Lindsay Lohan film Mean Girls, which she also wrote.
After the strong performance Tina Fey has put into 30 Rock (albeit with Alec Baldwin’s phenomenal performance helping), I’m looking forward to a starring role for her. The film begins shooting next month in New York City.
