Indiana Jones sequel set to start filming in 2007

I’m taking an flight to Houston on Friday to rent a UHaul and drive my belongings back to my new apartment in San Antonio, so TWIL gets posted a little earlier this week. Wish me luck!

A proposed start date for the fourth Indiana Jones movie is June 18, 2007, according to Fox News. The third sequel in the series will again feature Harrison Ford as Indy, and other actors from previous films such as Sean Connery, Karen Allen, and John Rhys-Davis are all in negotiations to return. Recent Oscar winner Alan Arkin (Little Miss Sunshine, Slums of Beverly Hills) has joined the cast of the updated version Get Smart, a 1965-1970 series that featured Don Adams as the bumbling CONTROL agent. Arkin joins as the chief to the already cast Steve Carell as Maxwell Smart and Anne Hathaway as Agent 99. [Sci Fi Wire]

Pee-Wee the Alien? Paul Ruebens has joined the cast of the NBC Sitcom “Area 52″ about a group of government employees tasked to watch over an alien prisoner. Ruebens will play the alien in the pilot. [Sci Fi Wire]

Pepsi is introducing a new higher-caffeine diet soft drink, called Pepsi Max. As if Pepsi didn’t taste bad enough already, they’ve actually made it taste worse. [Yahoo! News]
