The Bender Case Mod
I just had to share this with everyone. Via a link from Warp2Search I found quite possibly the coolest computer case mod I’ve ever seen. Introducing the Bender Case Mod. A full computer system sitting in the belly of the wonderfully rude Futurama character, Bender!
The dude took four months to put this together, from design to paper prototype, to sheet metal cutting to painting, with the final product looking as much like the real Bender could look. The computer itself is mounted in the cabinet in his chest, with the connectors coming out his underside and back. The eyes light up and it’s got blue case lights inside. Complete this with a button on the bottom that makes him say his classic catch phrase: “Bite My Shiny Metal Ass!”
I’ve seen case mods from everything to an ammo case to the Millenium Falcon, but I think overall this is one of the nicest completed projects I’ve seen. Imagine having a 5ft tall Bender in your living room that plays music and movies to your TV. He even mounted a DVD/CD-RW in his mouth! (The CD comes out between his teeth)
