New Matrix Games Possible

Joel Silver, producer of the Matrix movies, told reporters that there won’t be a fourth film after the upcoming Matrix Revolutions, but that there may be more games set in the Matrix universe. At a news conference Oct. 27 in Los Angeles’ new Disney Concert Hall, Silver responded to a question from SCI FI Wire about a possible new Matrix movie: “It will never happen.”

But asked about other future Matrix projects, Silver revealed, “We’re dealing with all that now. There is a project being worked on with a company called Ubi Soft, which is outside of Seattle, which is a multiplayer online game that in fact may become available as early as this summer, which will continue on the story of the world of The Matrix.” Silver added that Jada Pinkett Smith’s character, Niobe, may figure in the game, as might Laurence Fishburne’s Morpheus. “But we’re just working on that now,” he said.

Silver added that there is talk about doing another video game, beyond the current hit Enter the Matrix. “There’s a moment in [The Matrix Revolutions], when Seraph [Collin Chou] comes in with Neo [Keanu Reeves] and Trinity [Carrie-Anne Moss] and Morpheus, and the Merovingian [Lambert Wilson] says to him, ‘Oh, the prodigal son returns.’ And the boys [writers/directors Larry and Andy Wachowski] wanted to kind of explore that backstory. So that may be something that they deal with in a video game. But there will be other areas of Matrix material, but there will not be any more movies.” The Matrix Revolutions, which wraps up the trilogy, opens worldwide on Nov. 5.

It’s possible in ETM to play as neo. As long as you have the pc version. go to fileplanet.com and search for ETM. THen click enter the matrix and download the character selector.

There is absolutely no point in being able to play the game as Neo because you would just whoop everyone therefore making the game too easy. What would be better is if you play the game as someone like Trinity or Morpheous and then once you completed it you unlock Neo. Then you can play it again with Neo just for fun!!

Hands down… Enter the Matrix is the best game ever, i just dont understand why there is no Neo. It is totally rediculous to make a game based on
a movie and not play as the most popular character. That would be like having a Spider Man game and playing as Mary Jane only. I mean, there has to be SOME sort of way to play Neo, right? under VIEW B:/ID/NEO.IMG. To me, its pointless and a waste of time for the developers to create a 3-D character of Neo and not play him. He has to be out there SOMEHWERE

ummmmmm holy shit….i don’t know if this works because i can’t play the game right now. I’m getting a ps2 this friday and i have the game already…but i seriously think i figured something out. In “The Matrix Reloaded” there is a scene where trinity is hacking a computer. It is completely easy 2 read as if they wanted u 2 be able 2 read it. I don’t know if this code unlocks neo or anything but i think it might have some sort of signifacance….the code is “zi0n0101″ without the “’s of course. I have not yet tryed it because i don’t have a ps2 yet. I think it might do something though. Hopefully it does. PEACE!
