New York City Or BUST!
Ahh.. it’s been a while since I’ve done a good “rant” entry.
Things have actually been pretty good around here lately. I think I’ve finally gotten past the brunt of dealing with my grandfather’s death. I was “Mr. Angry Haggis” for several weeks; I was extremely snappish towards everyone, and most days I would just wake up and be pissed for no particular reason.
I finally understood what was going on and dealt with it, and I’m a better person for doing so. Now i’m just trying to get back to life as usual and try to live again.
Starting with this trip. For my birthday present, my mom, my sister, and her boyfriend all went in on a plane ticket to New York City. I’m leaving tomorrow around 9am from Intercontinental Airport and arriving in the Big Apple via La Guardia Airport. I plan to spend the next four days seeing the city i’ve always wanted to visit/live in.
What’s on the schedule? First off, A$$Cat 3000, presented by the Upright Citizen’s Brigade Theater. I’ve loved UCB since their two season run on Comedy Central back in the mid-90’s.
I plan to catch a meal at the world famous Rainbow Room in Rockefeller Center, and take the NBC Studios Tour.
I plan to take the Museum Mile, which includes the Metropolitan Museum of Art & MThe Guggenheim, and also make a stop in Midtown at the Museum of Modern Art to check out some original Andy Warhol paintings.
I’m going to be taking LOTS of pictures, so expect a good entry after I get all the film developed and such. Oh, and if anybody has any suggestions of obscure places to go in New York that I shouldn’t miss, please leave me a comment and let me know! I don’t want to miss ANYTHING!
See you Tuesday!
