Dead Like Me Renewed For 2nd Season

Dead Like Me has quickly become one of my new favorite series. The premise behind the show is one of the most original and creative ideas to come on a network, let alone a premium cable channel, in a long time. I’ve been hooked since episode one, and I have yet to meet a person who doesn’t like the series. If you haven’t caught it yet, catch it on Showtime during the week, or if you are without cable or premium channels, there are several episodes floating around KaZaa or other P2P apps.

Showtime revives ‘Dead’ for Year 2

NEW YORK — Showtime has renewed “Dead Like Me,” a primetime series from MGM Television Entertainment set in the afterlife, for a second season. The order of 15 more episodes of “Dead” represents the first major programming decision made by Robert Greenblatt, who was appointed president of entertainment for the premium cable channel in June. He praised “Dead” for epitomizing the creative direction Showtime is taking under his oversight. “(’Dead’) is exactly the kind of thing Showtime should be doing,” he said. “It’s very original, incredibly well done and an unusual concept you couldn’t do on a broadcast network.”
