Marvel Enterprises announced its slate of upcoming projects, which includes an animated MTV series based on its Blade vampire franchise. In its second-quarter earnings release, the company also projected release dates for several upcoming feature films based on Marvel properties, including Artisan’s The Punisher (spring/summer 2004), Sony’s Spider-Man 2 (July 2, 2004), New Line’s Blade 3 (August 2004) and Fox’s Fantastic Four (December 2004).

Other movies in development include Fox’s X-Men 3, Universal’s The Hulk 2, Universal’s Namor, New Regency/Fox’s Elektra, New Line’s Iron Man, Sony’s Ghost Rider and Paramount’s Deathlok, the company said.

Universal is owned by Vivendi Universal, which also owns SCIFI.COM.

The new marvel movies are so fresh and interesting, but its getting a bit over the top. But the movies are excellent but Hulk 2 after the Hulk wasn't such a smash hit is a bit risky. But well, make mine marvel!!

Turning the Marvel characters in to film is the best thing that ever happened. I would recommend to continue with the project along with its sequels. My only suggestion is to try and keep it as closely related to the comic book image, the changes in Spider-man were basically modern updates and improvements to the costume and still retains the well known image. The same goes with Daredevil. So all i am suggesting is to keep spider-man and all other charachter looking as they are and not to make any drastic changes as was done with the x-men. The x-men is perhaps the only ones which needed such a change. so keep going with the marvel film project anmd keep making sequels because they'r GREAT!!!

Marvel comics being transformed into movies is a brilliant idea. But many of them are better off shown as (3d)animated cartoons. Spider man and the Punisher were made well because they seem more realistic. But the hulk and other movies which step further from real life will seem difficult to portray in a real world setting.
For instance, Ghost Rider will not be as famous because there will not be many viewers who believe in a man lighting his head on fire. Also Fantastic Four will need special effects beyond belief to get a good rating from critics.
On the other hand, spiderman and x-men sequels will be good sellers because they proved to be crowd pleasers.
The creators need to see what the audience want in "Marvel movies". One thing to keep in mind is that majority of viewers never read the the actual comics. I was always a big fan of reading marvel comics. Keep up the good work Stan Lee.
