Everbody just relax a bit, and take a breath.
this Remake,is just that ...a Remake.
It does have some intersting twists to the story.
But it does not touch the Original.
It's not a Bad movie..it's just that the majority
of the people are just die hard Romero fan's.
There is nothing wrong with that.
Surpassing a movie like "OG"DAWN"..is almost impossible.
they could not have duplicated the original version for obvious reasons..
INSURANCE COMPANIES..
Try riding around the inside of a shopping mall
on motorcycles. that's one scene they would not do.
The Remake is a fresh idea, but i do not think they intended it as a replacement in any way.
Watch both movie's and you be the judge..
after all.."Beauty is in the Eye of the beholder".

I saw the new version first and was impressed. But, when i saw the original, i realised how much better it is. It’s a classic…….i just love the classic ‘dumb-ass’ style zombies rather than ones which seem to be able to jump and smash through walls. Even though the new 1 is gud, i hav to say that the romero version is a TRUE zombie film!!!

Honestly, the original was good, but this is a even better in my opinion, the fact that the zombies can run is also a extra chill factor, poeple need to stop moaning about it.

i loved the original, but i liked this one even more. Get over yourselves! Its a good movie, not a religeon! Why do you think Romero hasnt made a zombie movie lately? People need to come see it for him to get the money to do it! I’m glad this movie was so successful because now there’s a better chance that Romero will get to make one.

And I dont know if you’ve noticed, but Romero DOES still make movies. He just has a life beyond zombies, unlike you pathetic freaks apparently do.

Wow… I thought it was a great movie. The new AND the old. It was well done, and the acting and special effects were well balanced. Usualy it’s one or the other. I loved it.

I saw the dawn of the dead remake march 19,2004 and it was nothing like the original.I’m dissapointed in the people involved in the making of the remake.I’m a big zombie movie fan and that was the worst one ever made,in two words,IT SUCKED!!!

hey guys… dawn of the dead is a trash movie, the old, new anyway! a big stupid violent and “social” movie…. bah..
the remake use the same trash and obsolete undead movie sux, but, with better FX and the gay savini and other craps for the crap masterpiece.

How can you guys say that this movie is going to be a bad zombie flick. I gaurentee this movie is going to be awsome. I liked the original dawn of the dead flick and it was sweet,it doesnt really matter if the zombies walk or run. As long as theres blood and guts. Now thats what makes a horror movie.

The fact that the zombies run in this movie shows that the creators are tryig to add some variety to this movie. I like that they are trying to experiment a little with the zombies, trying to find what the audience will go for. You guys happen to be the crowd that doesn’t like it. And so be it. I loved “28 days later” and I thought the zombies running gave it sortof a scare, not knowing if the heroes would make it. But in the outcome, if it isn’t a good movie, and a bust like “texas chainsaw massacre” ,than maybe the directors will learn their lesson.

Zombies do run, haven’t you seen “28 days later”? That was one of the best things about that film, the zombies could run, had super human strength and rage. It added much more to what is normally expected from a zombie film. I didn’t really find Dawn of the Dead scary, certainly not in the parts where they’re WALKING passed the zombies, now it’s been turned around. 28 days Later was a success in England (where it was filmed) dunno about the states. If you haven’t seen 28 days later then I highly recommend it.
